A secured credit card is just like a regular credit card. The difference is your credit limit is secured by a bank deposit. For example, if you deposit $200 into the bank account set up for you, your credit limit would be $200. For people with extremely bad credit, this may be the only option for a credit card. Secured credit cards provide an excellent way to build up your credit and positive trade lines. Below is a couple links to great secured credit cards. Every one of us who rebuilt our credit, did so by getting at least one secured credit card. By having positive trade lines in your report, you are more likely to get those unsecured credit cards you want.
